It can be easy for things to pile up in different areas of your home. Sometimes you just don't have time to put things away, or maybe you don't have a good place to store them. Whatever the reason, items can stack up and start to take over the room, making the area feel smaller and more cramped.

The bedroom is one area of the house where clutter can accumulate quickly. Clothes, bedding, shoes, jewelry, and other items that end up in the bedroom can start to look messy after a while if they are not cleaned up. But how can you utilize the space you have in the bedroom to best fit everything that you need to store? It can seem like there isn't a place for everything to go, and this lack of space can cause you to feel discouraged and stop you from trying to organize.

The proper storage and organization is key to cleaning up your bedroom clutter. Try some of these tips to store the items in your bedroom:

  • Learn how to organize your closet. If you efficiently use the space in your closet, you will be able to fit more and won't have to wonder where to put things as often. You can have a professional install shelves, but you can easily do the job yourself by adding various shelving units, hangers, and bins to your closet. Store clothes and shoes in different areas according to type, color, or season. Use other parts of the closet for storing boxes or whatever else you need to keep in there.
  • Put the space under your bed to good use. You can fit certain sizes of boxes under your bed, and there are even storage bins designed specifically to fit in this area. For example, you might try a shoe organizer that will fit under the bed to keep your footwear out of the way.
  • Use drawers and dressers. Choose a way to organize items in your drawers that will work well for you, and you will be able to easily find things that you need. Try using dividers in your drawers if needed to create compartments.
  • You can use decorative boxes or a chest to store items in the bedroom. Decorative boxes can add charm to your bedroom, and chests are a beautiful addition to the room. You can store blankets, bedding, clothing, and all kinds of things for convenient storage.
  • Organize your jewelry with a jewelry box or on hangers attached to your wall. Keeping jewelry neat and organized will help your room to look less cluttered.

Your room can look clean and clutter-free. With a little organization, this area of the home can look better than ever.

“...blankets, bedding...”? Blankets are bedding, the same as sheets & pillowcases. My question for you: can you help fix this closet? I’ve got my things in the closet at a minimum, but it’s still cramped because it’s a narrow, shallow closet (not much space from from front to back). It has sliding doors, not the kind on hinges, so I can’t hang things on it. I need a better closet with hinged, not sliding, doors, but I can’t remodel the closet; I live in an apartment. Can you advise? My closet really needs help! Thank you.
